In Raleigh, shelter breaks down into two different types - emergency shelter and transitional housing.
Emergency Shelter is for when you need a place to stay tonight. Please keep in mind that it is NOT a permanent solution - nor is it designed to be.
Transitional Housing is, just like it sounds, a step up from emergency shelter and is designed to help you move to having your own place. Most transitional housing programs are part of a larger program - try not to get frustrated as you read the rules and conditions for each program.
